General Tickets sales start on June 1, 2019. Festival Passes go on sale May 1 to people on our Newsletter list. Sign up here.
There are three types of tickets (All prices are in the New Zealand Dollar):
- A Festival Pass gets you a non transferable pass to all shows for one person. You get a non-removable arm band for the length of the Festival. There is one for Wanaka and another for Queenstown.
- Wanaka Platinum Pass – transferable pass to all shows at the Lake Wanaka Centre.
- Single Session and Workshop Tickets: $10 – $45.
We use Payment Express (DPS) and you use your credit card to pay for your tickets. You are automatically re-directed to the DPS site at the payment stage.
There are 100 to 120 Single Session admission tickets available to each seating, priced from $10 (for youths) to $40. This will get you into a 3 or 4 hour session of films and sometimes a speaker.
A Wanaka Platinum Pass is completely transferable between your entire family, friends, associates or business. It is the favourite pass for a few people to share and have one seat to every event of the festival showing at the Lake Wanaka Centre (excludes the Adventure Film School).
A Festival Pass gets you a seat to all the films, speakers, book shows and workshops on at the Lake Wanaka Centre (for Wanaka Passes) and the Memorial Centre (for Queenstown Passes), but it excludes the Adventure Film and Writing Schools and there are a limited number. Festival Pass tickets are not transferable to another person and Festival Pass holders will receive an armband.
To buy tickets once the festival is on, the ticket window will be open at The Lake Wanaka Centre, 89 Ardmore St, and Queenstown’s Memorial Centre.
