NZMFF Grant Scheme

NZMFF Grant Scheme

Applications are open for the 2016 funding!

In 2012 we formed the NZ Mountain Film Festival Charitable Trust ((registration #2566732) and in July 2013 we became a registered charity (registration number  CC49344). Our non-profit Charitable Trust ascertains to promote, through it’s annual mountain film festival, healthy and active lifestyles, encourage youth to make small safe adventures in the outdoors, to inspire people to reach their full potential, to work cooperatively with others in the youth development area, to help people with disabilities get into outdoor activities and to promote NZ arts, film, culture, environment and outdoor lifestyles.

We host an auction of donated goods at the Wanaka Festival, then give away the money raised.

We generally give away between $3000 and $4000 each year and suggest you apply for between $500 and $1,000.

We have a grant scheme for three different causes we believe in:

  1. Fund youth (18 years and under) in adventure film making courses and/or adventure skills training,
  2. Financially support local environmental projects like river cleanups, native tree re-planting and other similar projects,
  3. Assist with funding people with disabilities to buy specialist sporting equipment.

If you’d like to apply in 2016 please email or write to us before the deadline on October 30th via letter posted to: NZ Mountain Film Festival Charitable Trust Board of Trustees, P.O.Box 563, Wanaka 9343.

Please explain in one page what you’d like the money for, how much is the total project costing and how much do you need from us?

Applications close October 30th. Applicants informed by December 15th.
